Ido Riklin - inspired by the moving fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen The Ugly Duckling – in a nest of ducks, a small and different chick hatches into the world – full of joy and anticipation. But again and again he is rejected, until a magical songbird encourages him to set out on a journey of self-discovery. When spring arrives, his encounter with a flock of swans changes everything. A magical opera show for children by Ido Riklin – accompanied by piano, colorful costumes, and classical music from around the world – by Mozart, Rossini, Bizet, Handel, Offenbach, Saint-Saëns, and Donizetti. Children are invited to join the duckling's journey, take an active part in the story, and participate in a conversation about accepting those who are different, coping with rejection, and personal empowerment. Through the plot, they will discover the power of uniqueness, friendship – and the courage to be who they are.
