The world-famous British ice theatre The Imperial Ice Stars UK is coming to Israel with the ballet production "Cinderella On Ice," set to the music of Tim Duncan and Edward James Barnwell. "Cinderella On Ice," produced by The Imperial Ice Stars UK, is a complete dramatic work, sensitively brought to a real ice surface by professional artistic skaters. The stage of the Tel Aviv Opera House will be covered with 14 tons of ice. 24 skaters, including world champions and winners of prestigious sporting awards and titles, will perform choreography that goes beyond conventional frameworks. Many of the elements and steps were created especially for this production and don't even have names in the traditional terminology of the sport. The project, created especially for indoor theatre halls, breaks conventions and expands the boundaries of what's possible in the world of ice skating. Here, the competitive spirit gives way to genuine stage drama, in which the lighting, set design and complex mise-en-scène together create the atmosphere of a large-scale operatic production.
