The Roommate - a touching comedy by Jen Silverman. Sharon, a divorced retiree in her sixties, lives in a small town in the United States and leads a quiet, simple life. She loves cooking, enjoys her pleasant routine, and her greatest dream is to grow a well-tended vegetable garden in her yard. When she decides to look for a roommate, Robyn enters her life – a colorful, unrestrained New Yorker, a lesbian and vegan, carrying secrets from her past that she's in no hurry to reveal. Despite the huge differences between them, Sharon isn't frightened off by Robyn's turbulent energy, and even finds herself gradually drawn into her extraordinary world. What begins as an innocent, convenient living arrangement for two completely different women soon turns into an unpredictable journey, full of twists, risks and surprises that neither of them could have imagined. This is a witty, clever and moving comic duet, combining sharp humor with touching human moments, that has won over audiences on Broadway stages. Translation: Gur Koren. Director: Shirili Deshe. Set design: Alexandra Nardi. Costume design: Orna Smorgonsky. Lighting: Bruchi Spiegelman. Assistant director: Karin Sigal. Cast: Miki Kam, Odia Koren.
