The doors and restaurant will open at 12:30. It is recommended to arrive close to door opening for pianist and composer Katia Tubul's special performance celebrating the visit to Israel of drummer Ofri Nechemia, who lives in New York. They will be joined by double bassist Alon Nir. Tubul, who has a rich background in classical music and jazz, began playing piano as a child in Russia and continued her studies at the Israel Conservatory of Music, at Rimon, and at the New School in New York. In the show, the trio will perform original compositions of her own alongside personal arrangements of standards, inspired by the great jazz pianists. Tubul's music combines melodic depth and rich harmonies with groove, improvisation, and freedom. The pieces were written with the shared playing and each trio member's unique voice in mind, leaving open space for live musical conversation and one-of-a-kind happenings on stage.
