The play is based on the best-selling book by Eshkol Nevo, which portrays a parting that brings with it longing, but also new opportunities for change and adventure. Amalia's dad went away for a few days, while she stays home with mom. Amalia wants dad to come back already, but time passes slowly and she has no patience to wait. To her surprise, strange and funny guests arrive for a visit. Who knows why mom always disappears exactly when things get interesting, and who those guests really are? Finally, when dad comes home, Amalia discovers that when someone close travels away, everyone misses them — both mom and dad, each in their own way. Sometimes it's even a little pleasant to miss someone, because when you meet again the joy is great and doubled. In many ways there is comfort in that, because longing is a sign of great love.
