Doors, the bar and the restaurant open at 19:00. It's recommended to arrive as close as possible to the doors' opening time. The veteran, excellent big band of Maestro Avraham Felder, in an impressive multi-generational lineup where the age gap between the veteran players who haven't lost their touch (such as Marton Kam and Nachum Parparkovich) and the talented, high-energy young players is over 70(!) years. Felder and his musicians will salute the great Frank Sinatra in this show, hosting singer Danny Sagiv, with his velvety baritone voice. Together they will fill the Shablul stage to capacity and sweep the audience away, as they always do, with warm, embracing music. With a glass of wine from the bar, after the meal, there's no better way to celebrate the end of the holiday. Sinatra made his big breakthrough in the early 1940s as a soloist with the bands of Harry James and later Tommy Dorsey — two of the most prominent swing bands in the United States. It was precisely within that big-band framework that his unique vocal identity took shape. Later in his career, even after becoming an independent star, he continued working with top-tier arrangers and orchestras, including Nelson Riddle, Billy May and Gordon Jenkins. His albums from the 1950s and 60s, considered milestones of American pop and jazz, were mostly recorded with big orchestras and reshaped the model of the singer fronting a big band. Many of the songs associated with him, such as "I've Got You Under My Skin" and "Fly Me to the Moon," rely on complex orchestral arrangements in which the brass sections play a central part in the musical drama. Danny Sagiv will elegantly sing the great classics in the spirit of the era, backed by the rich orchestral sound, stepping into Sinatra's big shoes with ease and naturalness. Avraham Felder, who immigrated to Israel from the Soviet Union in 1976, founded the ensemble about twenty years ago. Over the years he has established his standing as a trumpeter, arranger and conductor. Felder has taken part in international jazz festivals and has won awards and honors. For over 25 years he has led the Tel Aviv-Jaffa big band and Dixieland orchestras, mentoring generations of young musicians along their professional path. Musicians: Marton Kam: saxophone.
