In order not to spoil your children's viewing experience, at the Tel Aviv children's and toddlers' screening, those under the viewing age will not be admitted to the hall. Play: Shlomit Arnon Bar-Lev, Liat Fishman-Lani. Directed by: Amit Epstein. "World Champion" tells the story of a youth band in crisis. Rehearsals keep stumbling, the members can't get along with one another, and the band struggles to get off the ground and find its way forward. They are desperately searching for someone to write them new songs — someone who will reignite the spark that has almost gone out. Everything changes when Tom, a new boy, joins the band. It quickly becomes clear that he is an unusually gifted songwriter, and the musical creativity starts to flow. The band slowly gets back on track, and hope is reawakened. But Tom is hiding a big secret — one connected to his twin sister Shira, a sensitive, hard-of-hearing girl who holds a deep and meaningful place in his life. The secret threatens to unravel everything Tom has built, forcing him to confront his fears, his identity, and the question of who he really is. Through this struggle, the musical "World Champion" explores the search for an authentic inner voice, and our shared ability to create, to hold space for one another, and to live together — despite our differences — in harmony. Chanan Ben Ari's songs give the show emotional depth and a compassionate view of both the individual and society as a whole. They remind us that courage, sensitivity, and self-acceptance are the keys to growth, and that once we learn to face our fears — anyone can be a world champion. A moving, empowering musical that weaves in beloved songs: "Im Tirtzi," "Tutim," "Wikipedia," "World Champion," "Ima Im Hayiti," "Shemesh," and more — a powerful musical experience for teens and adults alike.
