In BOLERO X, 50 dancers from the Beit LeMachol dance company meet on stage with musicians from the Revolution Orchestra. Choreographer Shahar Binyamini combines three parts into an evening of dance and live music: APRIL, inspired by The Rite of Spring; ARISE, inspired by The Afternoon of a Faun; and the piece BOLERO X. The music and the body move between individual action and group rhythm, between restraint and outburst. The pieces offer a contemporary take on the works that inspired them, ending in movement built through repetition and accumulation. Choreography: Shahar Binyamini. Conductor: Roy Oppenheim. Composer: Ariel Blumenthal. Music direction: Roy Oppenheim and Zohar Sharon.
