Premiere performance. Two teenage girls meet in a drama class and connect. In a café with a cinema, they develop a language together, speaking in the voice they imagine they'll have when they grow up and can finally be themselves. Two girls who become young women move in to live together. Both dream of the stage, of uncompromising love, and of a sense of belonging to the big city. Two girls who become women in their forties, both with children, a partner, a career and a home. They miss each other, the girls they once were, the apartment they nurtured, and themselves. Together for the first time on the same stage, at the crossroads of midlife, they offer a sweet, bittersweet and comforting testimony to the promises of their youth, asking what they've kept, what has died, and what must still come true — perhaps even tonight.
