A gunshot rings out during the play. A scorching comedy by Bat-Chen Sabag, inspired by Lysistrata. Directed by: Ella Tamari Mills. In the not-too-distant future, the land is burning in a brutal civil war claiming many victims. Women are completely excluded from the centers of power, their role reduced to mass-producing the next generation of warriors. A chance meeting between the wives of rival commanders sparks a stormy revolution: masses of women from both camps join forces and decide to "shut up shop" until the men lay down their weapons. The men, stunned by the power of the unexpected women's revolt, are forced to choose between their two great loves: war or sex. Bat-Chen Sabag ("Love and Plague," "The Retreat") dusted off Aristophanes' classic satire and turned it into a hormone-charged, side-splitting stage celebration. Set design: Orna Barnat Shimoni, Shai Aharon. Costumes: Shira Weiss. Music: Roy Yarkoni. Video: Omri Rozi. Lighting: Matan Preminger. Dramaturgy: Irad Rubinstein. Assistant director: Inbal Evron. Featuring: Neta Garty / Irit Kaplan, Maya Landsman, Micha Selektar, Nadav Asulin, Elinor Weil, Aya Granit Sheva, Gilad Marhavi, Yarden Nikfahame, Noam Bart.
