Around the World in 80 Days - Orna Porat Theater

In order not to spoil your children's viewing experience, children and toddlers under the recommended viewing age will not be allowed into the hall. What happens when a journey around the world also becomes a test of friendship? At the center of the play "Around the World in 80 Days" are Phileas and Fix – two childhood friends caught up in a race in which each of them wants to prove something different. Phileas, who is used to arriving first and succeeding at every challenge, sets out to circle the world in eighty days. Fix joins the journey for a completely different reason: he is determined to stop his friend and prevent him from completing the mission. From here begins an adventure full of pace, humor, and twists, in which the old rivalry between the two takes on new meaning. The road leads them between countries and cultures, on trains and ships, as each stop brings a surprising encounter, a new mishap, and another attempt to change the outcome of the race. Alongside the question of who will arrive first, the journey also examines what remains of the friendship when the desire to win takes over everything. The children's play by the Orna Porat Theater, in collaboration with the "Fresco" dance company, turns Jules Verne's classic into a theater-dance performance combining acting, music, and movement.
