Vento Show

Vento is a groundbreaking show for the whole family, created by Ilan Azriel — creator of the hit international show "Aluminum" — and directed by Udi Gotshalk. As planet Earth is threatened by global warming, excess consumption, and the waste set to destroy it, Vento arrives: the right man at the right time. In his attempt to save the planet from the damage caused by nature and by humanity itself, Vento crosses seas and continents, dives to the depths, and even flies into space. Vento sweeps the audience along on a magical journey, aided by dozens of fans and blowers and hundreds of sheets and used plastic bags — cut, sewn, and glued by hand into stunning characters and creatures. On stage, music, movement, special effects, and plenty of imagination and spirit combine to create a hypnotic, groundbreaking work of visual art. Vento is an experience that lifts the imagination and reminds us how important it is to take care of our planet. From the moment you step into the hall's lobby, where an experiential exhibition on sustainability awaits, through the show itself — roughly 70 minutes in which Vento and his two assistants share their turbulent journey with the audience — to the closing moment, which drives home just how much the path to change lies in our hands and in our children's. The show features 3 dancers and 3 puppeteers/prop operators. Narration: Eli Gorenstein. Creator and artistic director: Ilan Azriel. Writing and direction: Udi Gotshalk and Ilan Azriel.
