How do you come out of a crisis stronger? How do you choose to live from a place of hope and faith in the future, even when reality is unbearably hard? This is the gripping and moving story of Idit Ahel, mother of Alon Ahel, who was abducted to Gaza on October 7th and returned home after nearly two years (738 days) — a journey spanning the moment of the abduction, the actions and choices she made along the way, and the day Alon finally came home to his family and to a nation that longed so deeply for his return. This is not just a private story of struggle, captivity, or war. It is the story of an extraordinary mother who found within herself the boundless strength needed to cope with the enormous upheaval that struck her, and to unite an entire nation behind the national mission of bringing the hostages home.
