The Hard Jazz Knights ensemble gives the songs of the 'Fab Four' a jazzy character and flavor through new arrangements in a variety of styles such as swing, bossa nova, ballads and blues. The ensemble is led by Amikam Kimelman, together with a lineup of top-tier jazz musicians including EWI player Eli Benacot, pianist Avi Adrian, bassist Arye Wolnitz and drummer Eitan Itzkovich. In honor of the Jaffa Jazz Festival, the ensemble will host singer-songwriter Yoel Lerner, joined by Swedish trumpeter Anders Bergcrantz and Israeli percussionist Gilad Dobrezki. The Hard Jazz Knights have performed in countless shows around the country, including the Eilat Jazz Festival, the Tel Aviv Jazz Festival, the Baku Jazz Festival (Azerbaijan), White Night, concerts and jazz clubs across the country, and on television programs; they recorded an album and took part in a special project with the Beer Sheva Sinfonietta Orchestra conducted by Maestro Doron Salomon and singer-songwriter Alon Olearchik. Among the songs performed in the show: Eleanor Rigby, Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da, Ticket to Ride, Norwegian Wood, With a Little Help from My Friends, Here, There and Everywhere, Hey Jude. Singer-songwriter Yoel Lerner first became known when he sang the song 'Shomer HaHomot' during his military service in the Central Command entertainment troupe. After his discharge, he worked with various artists including Yehonatan Geffen, Esther Shamir, Efraim Shamir and Nurit Galron. He performed together with Avner Kenner and Mazi Cohen in 'VeHayeled Haze Hu Ani' and later was a member of the legendary group 'Premiere.' Yoel took part in recording albums for many artists, including Arik Einstein, Yoni Rechter, Micki Gavrielov, Shalom Hanoch and others. He wrote songs for Gidi Gov, Arik Sinai and others. Yoel is a graduate of the Tel Aviv Academy of Music and a founder/partner of the band 'The Sixties,' which has been performing successfully since the mid-1980s to this day.
