Tania Vinokur – a tour marking 20 years of her career. Due to the show's success, additional dates have been added! Virtuoso violinist Tania Vinokur sets out on a festive tour across the country – an evening that crosses borders and genres. The show is a live musical journey combining key milestones from her career alongside contemporary work in new arrangements, with the sweeping stage presence that has become her trademark. Tania Vinokur is considered one of the most prominent and unique artists on the Israeli music scene. At the heart of her work is the violin – one of the instruments most identified with Jewish culture – which is given new life in a breathtaking show connecting Jewish, Gypsy, Balkan, Spanish and Mediterranean music. Vinokur weaves with rare virtuosity between playing, singing in many languages and dance, creating a powerful stage experience, physical and emotional, like no other. At two of the three shows (Tel Aviv and Haifa), joining Vinokur on stage will be a singer and artist from Ghana, Africa – Josh Black, with whom she collaborated on her last tour in Africa. Tania and Josh will be joined in Haifa by pianist and composer Leonid Ptashka, and in Tel Aviv by the band Miyumana – something of a full circle, since she was a member of the band before starting her independent career. All the shows are full-band performances. Over the years Tania has performed in Israel and around the world alongside leading artists, including David Broza, the Gipsy Kings, Glykeria and others, has collaborated with international artists, performed around the world with her band, recorded eight albums and staged seven original shows. From the first note she sends the energy skyward and takes the audience on a musical journey spanning the globe – sweeping, moving and unforgettable. Show dates: Nov 25 – Krieger Hall, Haifa – guests: Leonid Ptashka, Josh Black (Ghana, Africa). Nov 26 – Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center, Zucker Hall – guests: Miyumana band, Josh Black (Ghana, Africa). Dec 4 – Alma, Zichron Yaakov, Kiyov (full-band show, no guests).
