In a shared space, yet strangers to one another, four women live: one who moved to live inside a refrigerator, one who watches the news nonstop, one from whose dreams sad music emerges, and one who has made her aging neighbor her whole world. Outside, a war is raging, crumbling everything they knew, leaving them clinging to the rickety private shelter they built for themselves.
