After surviving the horrors of Auschwitz, Peter Singer arrives in London as a penniless, rootless refugee — with no home, no family, and no clear future. Instead of giving in to pain and despair, he chooses to leave his traumatic past behind and fight for his future. He seeks to erase the memories of his suffering and forge an entirely new identity for himself. Through measured steps and extraordinary persistence, Singer manages to rebuild himself. Little by little he builds a successful real-estate empire, wins the hearts of the women around him, and integrates into the top tier of British society as if he had always been part of it. But as his standing grows stronger and his success increases, it emerges that the drive behind him was not based solely on determination and ambition. Behind the charismatic facade lie uncompromising harshness, exploitation of others, and a readiness to trample anyone who dared stand in his way. Gradually, the glittering image he built for himself begins to crack, and the impressive empire he created — the dream of someone who arrived as a penniless refugee — starts to crumble under the weight of his own actions. This is a sweeping, gripping, and turbulent story that follows the rise and possible fall of a man who refused to accept his fate and sought to reshape it with his own hands. The plot draws inspiration from the life of Peter Rachman, the notorious London real-estate tycoon who reached the top through highly controversial means. In a unique production, around thirty Cameri actors take part alongside musicians from the Revolution Orchestra, who accompany the story with musical power and illuminate the constant tension between personal redemption and a boundless thirst for power.
