A documentary movement-theater work: What does it mean to be a father? Three men on stage – a father before the birth of his first child, a young father, and a father-grandfather – try to answer this simple-yet-complicated question. Through movement, texts from real interviews, and original music, an everyday poetics unfolds on stage: between emotion and humor, between intimacy and chaos. The performance moves between personal stories and is based on recorded interviews with people about their fathers, or about the fathers they themselves are. The texts heard on stage, taken from real interviews, reveal the gap between the father we are and the father we always dreamed of becoming.
