"Matti's Orange Revolution" is based on the award-winning book by Tami Shem-Tov, published by Hakibbutz Hameuchad. At the center of the story is Matti's grandmother, a warm and loving woman who enjoys knitting, baking cakes, and above all, reading the newspaper. But lately her eyesight has been weakening, making it hard for her to continue the beloved routine. Matti, her nine-year-old granddaughter, longs to make her grandmother happy and help her. Out of great love, she volunteers to come every day and read newspaper articles to her. But Matti has a big secret she hides from everyone - despite her age, she still doesn't know how to read. This sets off a journey full of daring, creativity and imagination, in which Matti tries to cope with her difficulty without disappointing her grandmother. "Matti's Orange Revolution" is a moving, funny and sometimes suspenseful play that begins in grandmother's home kitchen and ends in a surprising and colorful orange revolution. It is a story about facing challenges, about small and big secrets, about the environment, about friendship, and about the deep and touching bond between grandmother and granddaughter.
