Omri Mor is a poet of the piano, a multidisciplinary composer and arranger who connects jazz with Andalusian and North African music, alongside influences of classical and Latin music, distilling from all of these a distinct and original sound. Alongside him is Abate Berihun, one of the greatest musicians of Ethiopian origin active in Israel. The saxophonist and singer has performed with giants such as Mulatu Astatke and Mahmoud Ahmed, led influential ensembles including Kuluma, the Tezeta Ensemble and the Ras Dashen Duo, and collaborated with Ehud Banai, Ariel Zilber and Yossi Fine. In his playing and singing he brings the Ethiopian musical tradition to the stage, alongside soul, blues and groove. The two meet for an open musical dialogue, grounded in jazz and improvisation, moving freely between Berihun's Ethiopian tradition and the Andalusian and North African roots that accompany Mor's work. Piano, saxophone and voice in a live, spontaneous encounter, where traditions become raw material for new creation in the moment. Abate Berihun - saxophone, vocals. Omri Mor - piano.
