One Night in Taiwan - JISDF Festival 2026 (19:00)

19:00: Gates open, courtyard performances, and tastings from Taiwan. Following the success of 2025, for one evening Hansen House once again becomes a gateway to Taiwan. Six artists hosted by the festival bring the many faces of contemporary Taiwanese culture, in an evening of eight works of dance, music, flavors, and encounters. Between tradition and innovation, between contemporary movement languages and the influences of Taiwan's indigenous cultures, and between works that arrived straight from across the island and pieces created during the international residency in Jerusalem, an evening is born that brings the magic, colors, and creativity of Taiwan to the heart of Jerusalem. Taiwan Experience: throughout Hansen House, a Taiwanese experience awaits you with bubble tea, whiskey and beer from Taiwan, traditional delicacies, and meetings with the artists, rounding out an evening of dance, culture, and Taiwanese hospitality. Taiwan Umbrella Studio: during the evening you can join a traditional umbrella-painting workshop, design an umbrella inspired by Taiwan, and take home a colorful, unique souvenir. A Taiwanese beer in hand, a Jerusalem sunset, and the audience is invited to move between the courtyards and spaces until the whole evening converges on the main stage. 20:30: On the main stage, built especially for the festival on Hansen House's outdoor stage, contemporary dance works, premieres, and original productions will be performed one after another by artists from Taiwan, alongside works created as part of the festival's international residency in Jerusalem. A one-time encounter between creators, cultures, and movement languages, under the open sky. The event is held in cooperation with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Tel Aviv, the Taiwanese Ministry of Culture, and the Taiwanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
