The sensual music of the great Latin American composers — Jose Sabre Marroquin and Armando Mansanero (Mexico), Cesar Portilio de la Luz (Cuba), Astor Piazzola (Argentina) — is the inspiration for this show: an evening full of wonderful melodies from Mexico to Argentina. The Nocturno Quartet, hosting the excellent singer Anna Shpitz, blends the romance of bolero pieces with vibrant Latin rhythms, giving them a modern jazz interpretation and open improvisation. Performers: Anna Shpitz: vocals Kobi Solomon: clarinet and saxophone Gilad Dobretzky: percussion Tal Feder: bass Ari Erev: piano and musical direction
