Nani and Zana - Café Andalusia

Doors open at Club Shablul an hour and a half before the show starts. It is recommended to arrive close to doors opening. From the depths of the Ladino of her childhood home, through the stories of Nona Mami, her grandmother and source of inspiration, Nani Vazana sets out on a sweeping musical journey to the roots of Sephardic Jewish culture. Nani, winner of the 2024 Eurovision for minority languages, is a singer, composer and creator who gives new life to the Ladino language. With her charismatic voice and original arrangements blending tradition and modernity, she creates a rich musical world where Ladino song meets flamenco, jazz and the sounds of North Africa. The show is based on her album Andalusian Brew and combines traditional Ladino songs alongside original works that speak of roots, wandering, longing and identity. Amid passionate flamenco singing, warm trombone tones and delicate piano melodies, Nani weaves a personal and surprising link between past and present. From the BBC in London to the Library of Congress in Washington, Nani brings Ladino culture to stages around the world, giving an ancient tradition a contemporary, vibrant and boundary-breaking voice. Café Andalusia is a musical journey full of warmth, emotion and virtuosity, where the scents of the Moroccan market, the rhythms of Andalusia and the stories of generations meet in an intimate and vibrant experience.
