Doors at Shablul club open an hour and a half before the show starts. It's recommended to arrive close to door opening. Yuval Cohen, Amos Hoffman, Gilad Abro, and Shai Zelman reunite to play together for the first time in about eight years, for a single show with the original lineup of Quartet East. Four of the most prominent musicians in Israeli jazz, with a shared musical language built over years of creating and performing in Israel and around the world. The quartet's music bridges jazz with sounds from the East, between Israeli creation and the freedom of improvisation. Cohen's saxophone, Hoffman's guitar and oud, Abro's double bass, and Zelman's drums create a rich space of melodies, rhythms, and colors - where each has a distinct voice, and everyone has room to listen, respond, and surprise. The program features original works and new arrangements, in a renewed encounter that brings to the stage the musicians' deep familiarity with one another and the curiosity to discover where the music will take them this time. Yuval Cohen - saxophone Amos Hoffman - guitar and oud Gilad Abro - double bass Shai Zelman - drums A rare opportunity to hear the quartet together again, in the intimate atmosphere of Shablul. You're welcome to book tickets.
