What is the lecture "The Crisis of Young People in the Arab World" about? Middle East scholar Dr. Michal Yaari will talk about the life of the younger generation in Arab countries and the changes in attitudes toward religion, relationships, and family. Why did a marriage-proposal video spark an uproar in Egypt? Are young people in the Arab world becoming more liberal, or more religiously extreme? The lecture will also address the connection between the climate crisis and the growing number of young people, and the question of how reducing birth rates is discussed in a traditional society. About the speaker: Dr. Michal Yaari is a Middle East scholar and commentator in the Israeli and foreign media.
