Subtitles in Hebrew. Cremulator is the first theatrical adaptation of Sasha Filipenko's novel, based on original interrogation documents of the first director of the USSR's first crematorium. Directed by: Maxim Didenko. Lead role: Maxim Sukhanov. As Vera: Svetlana Mamrishva. As the investigator: Igor Titov. At the center of the plot is Pyotr Nesterenko — a pilot, a former White Army officer, and an émigré. After many years of wandering, he decides to do the unthinkable and return to his homeland. His motive is not cold calculation, but the love of his life. This is a story about a man willing to sacrifice everything — his life, his honor, and his truth — for a feeling stronger than fear and time itself. About love that becomes a test, and about a faith that drives him to walk straight into the fire. About the choice between loyalty and survival, between past and future, between duty and heart. The play premiered in Berlin in 2024 and took part in the VOICES BERLIN festival. In 2023, Sasha Filipenko's novel "Kremulator" was chosen as the best European novel by the French magazine Transfuge. Stage adaptation: Johannes Kirsten (chief dramaturge of the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin). Composer: Sergei Nevsky, winner of the Berlin Art Prize. Doors open at 19:00, show starts at 20:00.
