"It's Not Easy to Be Happy When Life Is a Bit of Shit" is a comedy by Rudy Milstein following five friends (Nora, Jonathan, Jean, Maxime, and Timothy) whose lives are in disarray. The play, which won two Molière Awards, examines their existential anxiety, their crumbling romantic relationships, and their desperate search for happiness through a series of comic and touching situations. The play analyzes, with humor and precision, the anxieties and failures of our generation. It questions the difficulty of finding happiness in a world ruled by fear, loneliness, and control.
