"Red Giselle" — a new production of Boris Eifman's masterpiece. In 2025, Boris Eifman premiered a new production of his beloved work, "Red Giselle." In this piece, Eifman tells the story of the legendary ballerina Olga Spessivtseva. Her performance in the ballet Giselle was one of the highlights of her career. Nearly three decades after the work's premiere, Eifman changed its choreographic structure. The sets, costumes and lighting also underwent a substantial transformation following new techniques, creating a new work. Boris Eifman Ballet. Eifman founded his ballet company in 1977, combining classical ballet with contemporary dance in his own distinctive style. After many years struggling against various restrictions that limited his work, Eifman succeeded in establishing the company, which today numbers about 60 dancers, and founded his own creative center, based in the city of St. Petersburg. Since 1990 the company has toured Asia, Germany, England, South Africa, Poland, Spain, Austria, France and the United States. Red Giselle. Ballet by: Boris Eifman.
