The Tel Aviv of the poems in 'Summer Celebration' is at the heart of Kobi Midan's lecture on Nathan Alterman. The gathering at the hall in the city of Herzliya is dedicated to the later Alterman and his view of the city he loved — its people, its scents, and the sights that gave his poetry its urban world. 'Summer Celebration,' published in 1965, is a poetry collection from Alterman's later period. Through the work, we encounter the poet's literary Tel Aviv: the city as it appears in words, in characters, and in everyday details. The lecture is part of the series 'Hebrew Literature on Stage' with Kobi Midan, television host, translator, poet, and lecturer on literature and culture. The series combines readings and stories alongside video, music, and visual imagery, bringing together literary works and Midan's presentation.
