A small house ant who survived a massacre is thrust into a new reality where she has nothing. Under a false identity, she infiltrates a neighboring nest, aiming to find a male who will give her offspring — to rebuild her destroyed home. On a survival journey against all odds, she discovers that in the hierarchical world of ants, with its rigid breeding laws, this is a mission she may pay for with her life. Can one small ant change the social attitudes of the entire insect world? Is there room for the individual in a society where the collective comes above all?
