A new production for children and the whole family, based on the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. One of the most famous and beloved tales by the great Danish children's author now comes to the stage of the Malenky Theatre in a new stage adaptation. This is a moving, heartfelt story about a little duckling, different from the others and therefore considered "ugly," who sets out on a journey of trials and discoveries — until he discovers his true beauty and becomes a beautiful white swan. A theatrical-musical journey unfolding across the four seasons of the year, revealing the duckling's courage to be different and special. Despite the difficulties along his way, he feels an inner drive to keep going — until he finds his place in the world and experiences freedom, self-acceptance, and happiness. This is a tale about how everyone is beautiful in their own way, and that sometimes it takes time to spread one's wings. During the show, excerpts from Antonio Vivaldi's Four Seasons are heard, alongside works by Saint-Saëns, Boccherini, and others, performed live on stage. Written and directed by: Michael Taplitzky. Set and costume design: Alexandra Hachen. Music direction: Yevgenia Natanova. Musical arrangements and instrumental accompaniment: Daniel Platonov. Technical management: Gabi Ostrovsky. Assistant director: Bella Litvak. Starring: Polina Pakhomova / Olga Tessler, Uri Lavanon, Sophie Nozhikov / Hadas Eyal, and violinist Daniel Platonov.
