Election night. Candidate Oedipus is on the verge of a historic victory that will bring about a change of government. The people are weary of a raging epidemic claiming victims among the citizens. Wishing to open a new chapter in the nation's life, and after declaring his commitment to "new politics," Oedipus announces the establishment of a committee to investigate past affairs that cast a shadow over the country's moral image. Oedipus, confident of his own innocence, declares that the investigation will focus first and foremost on his own past. A mistake. "Oedipus the King," which has captivated audiences and creators for over two thousand years, comes to the Cameri stage in a brilliant adaptation - a fast-paced, nerve-wracking thriller full of twists and turns.
