Latin America with an Israeli soul – from Rio to Havana, from Buenos Aires to Mexico City – this show brings together in one evening the music that people celebrate, sing, and play out loud. Music that lives and breathes. This is jazz of open windows and small winding alleys, of rustling dresses and clinking glasses, of rolling laughter and heels tapping on the wooden floors of small restaurants in Argentina, and of the soft rhythms of bossa nova on Copacabana beach. Jazz of Southern Nights is a musical journey into a world of sun, rhythm, and passion. From soft Brazilian bossa nova, through Cuban rhythms, to Italian hits – music from different cultures meets in one evening and one program, colorful, warm, and full of life. On stage – three singers, three voices, and three styles. Each has her own personality and her own story, but together they create one complete musical experience. Accompanied by a live jazz band, they will turn the great hall into a small southern club, where the music is close, free, and full of life – and makes the heart beat a little faster. On the program: Historia de un Amor, Quizás, Quizás, Quizás, The Girl from Ipanema, One Note Samba, Mas que Nada, Volare, Mambo Italiano, Grande, Grande, Grande, Canción del Mariachi, Conga, and other beloved songs. Hundreds of flickering candles, live music, and an atmosphere of real celebration – joyful, boisterous, beautiful, and a little crazy. On stage: Sofi Chudnovsky – jazz singer, multi-instrumentalist, and actress; Alexandra Cheskaya – singer and performer; Nomi Cross – a singer with an impressive stage presence and captivating energy. The jazz band – musicians with academic training and experience on the stages of leading theaters and philharmonics, alongside extensive activity in Israel's contemporary music scene. Doors open: 19:00. It is recommended to arrive early – a bar with drinks and snacks will operate on site.
