Documentary cinema on Jewish and Israeli identity. Film screenings (with English subtitles) and meetings with the filmmakers (in English). Curator: Rivka Adaret. Dimona Twist – Dimona Twist. Seven women arrive in Israel in the 1950s and '60s and are sent straight to Dimona, a new town in the heart of the desert. Now they open their hearts and share their life stories, which have never been told before from their point of view. What happened to them after they left North Africa and Poland and found themselves helping build a new town in the heart of the desert? They speak of the pain of leaving their homes, of poverty, and of the hardship of adapting to their new homeland, alongside their determined efforts to build rich, meaningful lives for themselves. Direction: Michal Aviad. Meeting with the film's editor: Nili Feller.
