A magical, spectacular and imaginative musical show that brings to the stage the inspiring childhood story of Hans Christian Andersen, the great fairy-tale writer. Hans, a poor and lonely boy who struggles to read and endures mockery from his friends, finds refuge in a world of imagination, where wonderful stories are born and dreams turn into fairy tales. When the king announces a story competition with a grand prize, Hans decides to take a chance and write a story. If he wins the prize, his mother will be able to pay the rent and they will be able to stay in their home. Just before the competition begins, his story disappears and everything seems lost – but a surprising encounter with Lulu, a mysterious girl he met by chance, changes everything. As reality and imagination meet, Andersen's wonderful fairy tales – The Ugly Duckling, The Little Mermaid, The Emperor's New Clothes, The Nightingale and the Emperor of China, and The Flower of the Golden Heart – come to life on stage in a colorful, sweeping and funny musical celebration that reminds us all of the power of creation and the magic of imagination.
