On October 7th my life changed, and as a result I set out on a journey between Israel and Japan, which re-examined questions of home, identity and belonging. From this journey a performance piece was born combining movement, video and objects, examining how much I am still "Japanese." Through the tension between two cultures, the work proposes seeing life not as 50-50, but as an ongoing movement of 51-49. Creator: Mami Shimazaki. Performers: Mami Shimazaki, Doron Lev.
