For the first time in Israel, a production of the most successful classic musical of all time, in its full version (Austria, 1938). Maria, a young novice nun full of joie de vivre who struggles to keep the convent's rules, is sent by the Mother Abbess to become a governess for the seven children of Captain von Trapp, a strict, widowed (Austrian) military officer. Maria soon turns their home from a house of rigid rules and iron discipline into a home full of joy, laughter and music. She wins over the children's hearts and later their father's heart, and the two decide to marry. The idyll is disrupted by the Nazi occupation of Austria, and the young family is forced to bravely face challenges and dangers on their way to a better life elsewhere.
