All concerts of the Witches Festival 2026. Nari Ensemble: Liron Givoni — soprano, Naomi Hasson — recorders, Yotam Haran — baroque cello, Guy Pardo — harpsichord. "The Golden Apple" is a musical-theatrical performance by the Nari Ensemble, part of the "Witches?" Festival from the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra. The dramatic journey begins when an angel and a man search for the woman worthy of receiving a golden apple and bringing the mother of Jesus into the world. Along the way, a gallery of biblical heroines unfolds, from Eve to Esther. Each character is given her own musical portrait, drawn from Baroque works from Bohemia, Italy, England, and Germany. Original texts link the scenes into a single staged performance, letting words and music illuminate the stories from a new angle. The "Witches?" Festival is now in its fifth year. The 2026 festival theme, "Echo," is dedicated to women as creators, performers, queens, patronesses, muses, and heroines, and to the influence they left on music and culture. The program moves from ancient myths to twentieth-century jazz, and from European salons to the contemporary stage.
