All concerts of the Witches? Festival 2026. "Song of a Woman" is a 17th-century chamber program for soprano, theorbo and viola da gamba. Singer Naomi Burla Levy performs alongside theorbo player Noga Nakash and viola da gamba player Sonia Binenfeld Navot. The program is built entirely from texts voiced by female speakers: sometimes a mythological or religious figure, sometimes a mother, and sometimes a raw and personal human voice. Themes of love, motherhood, war and peace are woven into a single story — personal and universal, historical and at the same time contemporary. The concert takes place as part of the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra's "Witches?" Festival 2026. The festival, now in its fifth year under the title "Echo," is dedicated to women, to works and to voices whose influence continues to be heard in later generations. Giacomo Carissimi – "Weep, O Hills" (from "Jephte"). Henry Purcell – "Oh! Lead Me to Some Peaceful Gloom" (Bonduca's song).
