During the play, sounds of explosions and gunfire are heard. The play is recommended for ages 15+. The play "Yossi & Jagger" – a moving Israeli drama produced by the Habima Theatre. In the late 1990s, at an isolated, snow-covered military outpost on the Lebanese border. Amid a reality of ongoing war and grinding military routine, a group of young soldiers try to hold on to their sanity and their dreams. Between operational missions, endless guard duty, and a constant sense of tension, they long for what every young person their age wants for themselves – love, human closeness, intimacy, and an ordinary, peaceful future. Against a harsh backdrop of military masculinity, where emotions are often forced to hide behind a tough exterior, a powerful, tender, and stirring love story unfolds between Yossi and Jagger – two young officers forced to hide their feelings and the deep bond between them. While white snow covers the pastoral landscapes of Mount Hermon, and the outpost's bunker closes in on its occupants with a constant sense of suffocation and pressure, the soldiers contend not only with the threats beyond the border, but also with inner struggles of identity, belonging, and the search for personal freedom. This is a touching human story about love versus convention, about the desire to stay true to yourself even under the harshest conditions, and about the universal yearning to live, to choose, to break free, and to love without fear.
