I Am a Guitar – Assaf Plays and Sings Beni Amdursky. Assaf Amdursky follows in the footsteps of his father Beni Amdursky's great songs. To mark 30 years since Beni Amdursky's death, his son Assaf created this beloved and successful show. Now, 32 years after Beni Amdursky passed away, the show returns, bringing his songs back to the stage. Assaf will perform songs by his father — one of Hebrew music's most important singers and producers — and share the stories behind the songs. HaDudaim, the Yarkon Bridge Trio, HaShlosharim, HaTov VehaRa VehaNa'ara, HaDudaim-Parvarim, as well as artists and projects he chose to produce and release: HaChalonot HaGvohim, the album "Jerusalem of Gold," Meir Ariel, and more. In January 1994, when Beni Amdursky passed away, his son Assaf was at the very start of his musical career — after the Ascot mix and "HaCheder HaIntimi Sheli," but before "Ahava Chadasha," "Yekirati," "Mano'im Shketim," and everything that came later. In the 32 years since his father's passing, Assaf has released eight solo albums, produced countless artists, composed for television, theater, and film, judged Israeli prime-time musical reality shows, and had a profound influence on Israel's electronic music scene. Like his father, Assaf has also produced acclaimed stage shows for Evyatar Banai, Marina Maximilian, Shuli Rand, Shlomit Aharon, Efrat Gosh, and others. In some of these shows he even performed himself, such as in the moving project "Singing the Dudaim," in which he appeared to great success alongside Israel Gurion, and in the successful, acclaimed show "Singing HaChalonot HaGvohim," with Shlomi Shaban and Yael Kraus.
