The Universe of Hans Zimmer - Candlelight Concert at an Ancient Monastery by the Sea

By the light of hundreds of candles, beneath the vaults of the ancient monastery in Jaffa, the music of one of the greatest composers of our time — Hans Zimmer — will come to life. A string quintet accompanied by a pianist will create a deep, rich sound that conveys all the drama and beauty of masterpieces from the films: "Rain Man," "The Lion King," "Gladiator," "The Da Vinci Code," and many others. Just imagine the sunset over the sea to the sounds of the main theme from "Interstellar." The murmur of the waves and the cries of seagulls to the music from "Pirates of the Caribbean." This concert gathers all the splendor of Israeli evenings. Hans Zimmer — winner of numerous awards, including an Oscar, a Grammy and a Golden Globe. His music creates worlds you want to dive into again and again. This evening will be a rare opportunity to hear famous film scores performed live, in the unique atmosphere of ancient stone walls and soft candlelight. The concert features musicians from the Rishon LeZion Symphony Orchestra (the Israeli Opera Orchestra) and the Philharmonic Orchestra. On piano: Sergiy Nikityuk — a virtuoso pianist and winner of international competitions, founder of Sergiy Nikityuk & Jazz Do It, a co-repetiteur and teacher at the Hadera Municipal Conservatory, and creator of the album "88 Piano Keys." Please note: the concert takes place in an open-air venue within the grounds of an ancient monastery by the sea. Evenings by the sea can be cool, so we recommend bringing a light scarf or something warm in case of cool weather. Also note that there is no bar or café on the monastery grounds. Entrance to the monastery is from the Jaffa promenade side, not through the Old City. See you among the candles, the music and the sea this evening.
