The perfect harmony of Italian baroque by Antonio Vivaldi, the sensuality of Argentine tango by Astor Piazzolla, and the passion of Israeli musicians meet on the stage of the ancient Armenian monastery in Jaffa. On the open terrace facing the Mediterranean, "The Four Seasons" will be performed by the Lumina Trio. Unique arrangements for violin, cello and piano give these familiar works a new interpretation — moving, fresh, and remarkably contemporary. Two eras, two musical worlds, one stage. Piazzolla's sweeping rhythms blend seamlessly with the lightness and clarity of Vivaldi. Not in a concert hall, but facing the sea, by the light of hundreds of candles and among the ancient stone walls of the monastery, which preserve centuries of historic magic. Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" are full of light and movement: the streams of spring, the storms of summer, the golden colors of autumn, and the stillness of winter. Almost three hundred years later, Piazzolla created his own "Four Seasons" — a sweeping work, full of passion, rhythm, and urban atmosphere. In place of countryside scenery, you'll hear the alleys of Buenos Aires, and instead of pastoral calm — the energy of the big city, nostalgia, and tango. Evenings by the sea can be cool, so we recommend bringing a light scarf or something warm in case of cool weather. Also note that there is no bar or café on the monastery grounds.
