"Lola, the material you're writing about the period of the illness is terribly funny. In the end it'll add up to some great funny material." That's what my mother told me a few months before she passed away. I wanted to turn it into a show with great funny material. And also painful. And short. Because life is also painful and short. How can it be both painful and short?! That's an equation I can't quite work out... In a comic-dramatic musical journey, memories surface - conversations between a mother and daughter from just before the parting through the struggle that follows. A family of colorful characters embodied by a single actress grappling with the void left behind. A personal show that touches all of our lives, about an eternal bond containing humor, life, death and above all - love.
