"Telemandolina" is the third concert in the 38th season of the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra. On the conductor's podium and as mandolin soloist will be Alon Sariel — an Israeli mandolinist, lutenist, and conductor specializing in early music. The program centers on the meeting between the mandolin and the baroque orchestra. Works by Telemann, Hasse, and Bach showcase different shades of the late German baroque, from orchestral color to the virtuosity and song-like quality of the solo instrument. Conductor and mandolin soloist: Alon Sariel. Program: Telemann — Suite "La Bizarre." Hasse — Concerto for Mandolin. Telemann — Concert Sonata in F minor. Bach — Symphony for Strings. Telemann — Concerto for Mandolin, arranged by Alon Sariel from the composer's Violin Concerto.
