Suitable for ages 16 and up. An intimate, moving comedy about death and parting. "Wonderfully Alive" is a solo show in every sense of the word, and as its name suggests, it is a wondrous piece of life and love. Marta knows: "Lola, the material you write about the period of the illness is terribly funny. In the end, great funny material will come out of it." That's what my mother told me a few months before she passed away. I wanted to turn it into a show with great funny material. And also painful. And short. Because life is also painful and short. How can it be both painful and short?! That's an equation I can't quite work out... In a musical, comedic-dramatic journey, memories arise - conversations between a mother and daughter moments before the parting, and the coping that follows. A family of colorful characters embodied by a single actress dealing with the void that opened up. A personal show that touches all of our lives, about an eternal bond that holds humor, life, death, and above all - love.
