A comic drama, a new Israeli play by Oren Yaacobi. Directed by: Eldar Gohar Groisman. Cast: Orna Rotberg, Hagar Engel, Robert Henig, Aviram Avitan and more. Glass Wall tells the story of a young, successful Israeli dancer living in Berlin, who is thrown into a deep crisis upon discovering she's pregnant. Her life takes another turn when her mother arrives for a sudden visit, aiming to carry out a strange, incomprehensible request from her father's will — a Holocaust survivor. The encounter forces the daughter to confront not only the future awaiting her, but also her family's past and the fraught relationships she had tried to distance herself from. Together with her brother and mother, the daughter sets out on a journey to fulfill her grandfather's final request. Along the way, a surprising secret from his past is revealed — a discovery that shakes the whole family, changes their lives, and lets cracks appear in the glass wall that has separated them for many years. The play was written by Oren Yaacobi, whose plays December, Diaries, Crossing the Wall, Zero Motivation and Blues for the Summer Vacation have been successfully staged at the Beit Lessin Theater. Yaacobi also created the TV series Ran's Quartet.
