The eternal classic of ballet — 'Sleeping Beauty' — in the version of the 'Russian Ballet' Theatre under the direction of Vyacheslav Gordeyev — arrives in Israel in the autumn season of 2026, to the delight of all ballet lovers. Classical Russian ballet, Tchaikovsky's magnificent music performed by one of the world's leading ballet companies, has long been more than an aesthetic pleasure — it is a way to heal the soul, to be filled with the beauty and harmony found in this masterpiece. The ballet 'Sleeping Beauty' is considered an encyclopedia of classical dance. This magical story, based on the famous fairy tale by Charles Perrault, has not left the stages of the world's leading theatres for over a hundred years, since its brilliant historic premiere directed by Marius Petipa, held in 1890 on the stage of the Mariinsky Theatre. Tchaikovsky's musical genius, Marius Petipa's brilliant choreography, and the dramatic libretto dealing with the power of true love and loyalty, and the eternal struggle between good and evil — together they created an unforgettable masterpiece. A work that captures our hearts and makes us want to enjoy it again and again, even when we know every twist of the plot and every note of the music. The 'Russian Ballet' Theatre presents the ballet 'Sleeping Beauty' in the spectacular staging and adaptation of the People's Artist of the Soviet Union, Vyacheslav Gordeyev, based on the original libretto by Ivan Vsevolozhsky and Marius Petipa. For this extraordinary production, Gordeyev was awarded the prestigious prize of the Association of Western European Impresarios for 'The Most Grandiose Production of 2000'! Set to Tchaikovsky's timeless music and Marius Petipa's magnificent choreography, this production combines the magic of classical Russian ballet with lavish sets, costumes adorned with gold details, and virtuoso performances by dancers from the theatre's first cast. The legend of Russian ballet, Vyacheslav Gordeyev — a superstar dancer and the legendary premier of the Bolshoi Theatre, who devoted his entire life to the art of ballet — also displayed his virtuosic talent as a choreographer. Gordeyev the choreographer won the hearts and earned the appreciation of international ballet critics. In 1992, after a spectacular European tour by the theatre, he was awarded the prestigious title 'Choreographer of the Year,' and later — a special award from Maurice Béjart himself! The national theatre 'Russian Ballet' has earned a place of honor on the world ballet stage. Among ballet lovers, both from Russia and from every corner of the globe, the company enjoys enormous and well-deserved popularity — standing alongside the great and prestigious theatres such as the Bolshoi Theatre and the Mariinsky Theatre. The production has been praised around the world, and now you can experience it here in Israel! International recognition has not been slow to arrive: the English newspaper 'Western Morning News,' in its review of the 'Russian Ballet' Theatre, spared no praise and stated firmly: 'Only rarely do we have the privilege of witnessing contemporary Russian talent at the height of its glory!' In Germany, the 'Russian Ballet' achieved an even more impressive feat, winning the prestigious 'Golden Ticket' — a mark testifying that more than one hundred thousand spectators attended its performances during a single tour in
