By Joseph Stein, based on the stories of Sholem Aleichem. Fiddler on the Roof! The greatest Jewish musical of all time. Featuring the great hits: "If I Were a Rothschild," "To Life," and more… Starring Natan Datner as Tevye the Milkman, with Sheri Tzuriel, Shai Gabso, Kobi Maor, and dozens of actors, dancers and musicians, accompanied by a live orchestra on stage. Tevye, a poor Jew and father of five daughters, tries to keep his family true to religious law and tradition, in a Christian environment whose influence keeps growing. He struggles with the wishes of his grown daughters, influenced by the spirit of enlightenment, whose choice of husbands doesn't satisfy him. On top of his troubles at home, the family is struck by an expulsion order, forcing all the Jews of the town to leave the home where they were born and raised. This famous musical, based on the stories of Sholem Aleichem, is presented in a spectacular production, with new and sensitive direction, accompanied by an orchestra conducted by Yossi Ben Nun.
