The Israeli HaSha'a Theater is excited to present: "The Shoemaker and the Gnomes" — a magical, colorful and moving show based on the well-known story! Michael, a young boy living in a small village in Italy, doesn't understand why one should do good deeds. In his view, it's a waste of time if you don't get anything back and only give. Even visiting his grandfather, Alberto, seems like a waste of time to him. What will he get out of it? Grandpa Alberto is the village shoemaker, and the villagers love him. He fixes everyone's shoes and sews new ones to order, and for those who can't pay, he gives the shoes as a gift. Because Grandpa knows good deeds are never wasted — they come back at moments you don't expect, and surprise you. One day, harsh news arrived: the queen announced she wanted to shut down the beloved shoe shop and turn the place into a private pool just for herself. She agreed to cancel the decree if Grandpa would make her a new, magnificent pair of shoes every day, unlike any seen in the whole kingdom. But Grandpa can't make so many pairs of shoes alone — what will become of the shoe shop? Two small, adorable gnomes came to help Grandpa — magic gnomes who love helping those who help others. Will the shoe shop be saved now? Will the villagers also help Grandpa Alberto in his time of need? Will Michael come to understand that good deeds are never wasted and come back to us at the most unexpected moments? And here's a secret — the gnomes didn't leave empty-handed either, and didn't go home barefoot. Can you guess who made them shoes as a gift, without asking for anything in return?
